Our Home
Pampered Parents, ALF, Inc. is located in a custom built home marked by a hand painted sign with larger then usual bedroom sizes and tray ceilings which more then meet the standard sizing of a bedroom in an Assisted Living Facility. There are three bedrooms on one side of the house and a grand master bedroom on the other side of the home with a large master bathroom with walk in shower and roman tub. The large open living room, dining room and kitchen area have beautiful recessed tray ceilings and are in the center of the home and can be easily accessed from each bedroom and patios. The home is located in Seminole Woods, Palm Coast in a cozy court with only three homes in a nature preserve area surrounded by pine and tropical trees and animals such as turtles, rabbits, birds such as cardinals and robins and deer which can be seen at dawn or just before evening.
Living Room
The living room was designed by Susanna Knight, Administrator and Owner of Pampered Parents, ALF, Inc., who owned three design companies over thirty years prior to opening her Assisted Living Home. The beautiful designed living room was planned for an eclectic look to go with many different tastes and brought together with monochromatic bright rust colors for accessories, paint and fabrics along with some new, old and used furnishings to give the decor character and a fresh bright and interesting environment to cater to many people. The living room has recessed tray ceilings and adjoins to the dining room which has a large bright custom painting of the ocean and the room is open and accessible to the kitchen, all bedrooms and both patios. There is even a decorative bright rust dog bed for the resident beagle centered under the large television set surrounded by bright pillows. There are two recliners, one is also a rocker and the other a lift chair along with a cozy sofa with designer pillows and decorative lounge chairs with bright cheerful fabrics for guests and family members to sit on while visiting.The theme of the home is cozy, inviting and like a bouquet of flowers which you see as you are greeted by the garden and patio as well as throughout the living room art work, pillows and signage on the doors of each bedroom and bathroom.
Kitchen/Dining Room
The dining area is at the front of the house and greets you with a large custom heirloom art piece of an ocean view in Boca Raton, Florida and the Administrator and Owner Susanna Knight, her daughter Dominique and their beagle, custom painted by a famous painter Vose from Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1997. The dining room table is small and round to sit below a round recessed tray ceiling and accessories to compliment the environment which adjoins the living room. This dining room may be used for private events, meetings or special diners for residents and their families and the meals may be catered by Susanna Knight who is a gourmet cook and studied cooking in Belgium. The dining room table extends to seat six people.
The kitchen area is very large with an opening in the middle of the cabinet area to view the living room so that the caregivers can see the residents at all times as they cook and work. There are decorative dishes and antique china tea cups to serve tea and coffee and a variety of beautiful place mates, fabric napkins and napkin rings to decorate the table. Since Susanna Knight the Administrator and Owner is a gourmet cook, the residents are served gourmet meals such as for breakfast cheese and fresh tomato parsley omelettes with sausage, fresh fruit cocktail and muffins and Belgium waffles with fresh strawberries, raspberries and blue berries topped with whip cream or a parfait with fresh yogurt and fresh fruit layered in a martini glass and topped with whip cream and a strawberry. The kitchen is decorated with cute decorative pictures and accessories and is easily accessible to the back patio.
Bathroom
Patio
The front patio is decorated with bright rust painted cast aluminum furniture with bright striped rust and beige cushions accented by an assortment of hanging and standing plants both silk and real and accessories to decorate with every changing season along with a festive reef on the door to match the season. The house has a custom hand painted sign marking Pampered Parents, ALF. There is also a metal ramp to access the front of the door available for handy cap residents. This area is a cozy small seating area that we welcome our families and residents to sit enclosed for privacy by a beautiful green rust leafed hedge.
The back patio is accessed by a handy cap ramp, enclosed with screening and decorated with bright rust painted cast aluminum patio furniture with rust and beige striped pillows and rust accessory pillows, There is a chaise lounge, lounge chair and ottoman and round glass dining table with four decorative cast aluminum rust chairs with matching accent stripe pillows. The owner decorates with fresh seasonal plants and accent silk arrangements which change according to the season. The residents eat out on the patio for breakfast, lunch and dinner when the weather permits for a change of scenery. There are rabbits, turtles, birds and deer that can be seen while sitting on the patio.
